Professional experience:

Dr. Jerzy Surma is a of Management Information Systems in the Operations and Information Systems Department. He completed IFP program at IESE Business School and Executive Program at MIT Sloan School of Management. In the academic year 2011-2012,  Dr.  Surma was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School. Professor Surma has been serving as editorial reviewer, track chair, and ad hoc reviewer on many conferences especially in Social Computing. Before joining UMass Lowell, Dr. Surma was an assistant professor at Warsaw School of Economics. Prior to his teaching career Professor Surma was working in business consulting. He was vice president in IMG Information Management Poland where he was responsible for implementation of ERP systems, Business Process Re-engineering, IT advisory, and Business Intelligence solutions.
